MEDICARE AROWANA FURUN PRO is particularly effective on columnaris which is a common bacterial infection (a.k.a. gram negative rods or flexibacter columnaris) in cultured fish. Its name is derived from columnar-shaped bacteria, which are present in virtually all aquarium environment.

DISEASE SYMPTOMS

You will see grayish-white spots on some part of the Arowana’s head, fins, gills, or body usually surrounded by an area with a reddish tinge. The columnaris lesions on different species of Arowana vary in size, location, and appearance. These may appear thread-like, particularly around the mouth. Characteristic lesions can appear on the back, the fins, gills and belly. Fins will deteriorate and sores may appear on the body. The gills may be affected, giving rise to bacterial gill disease. 

TREATMENT GUIDE

• Change 30% of the aquarium water
• Vacuum gravel
• Add aquarium salt
• Add 1 level spoon of MediCare Arowana Furun Pro to 30 litres of water
• Discontinue carbon filtration during treatment
